Family-centred, not drop-off
Sessions are family-centred and parents/carers remain responsible for their children throughout — giving flexibility and the right support for complex needs.
Community · Connection · Support
We’re a parent-led, community-led group on the Dengie Peninsula, working towards charity status — bringing inclusive, affordable activities closer to home so every child can take part, build friendships and feel they belong.
Children and young people with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, physical disabilities, sensory differences, developmental delays, complex medical needs and other additional needs — together with their parents, carers and siblings.
Booking opens in a secure BookWhen window.
Parents and carers remain responsible for their children at all times.
A growing programme of activities, run in small groups at a gentle pace.
Coming soon: forest school, gardening, holiday programmes, teen groups, parent workshops and peer support.
SEND in the Dengie was created by parents with lived experience. Families in the rural Dengie often travel long distances for SEND provision, so we set out to bring meaningful opportunities closer to home — reducing isolation and building a community where everyone belongs.
We’re an established community organisation, now progressing to charitable status (CIO), with several successful grants secured and regular activities already underway.
Our mission is to improve opportunities for children and young people with SEND and their families across the Dengie — through welcoming, inclusive and affordable activities.
Predictable, calm and built around your family.
